..: SCIBA Junior High Band Contest Success :.. Congratulations to the Grandview Park Baptist JH Band on earning a "I" rating at the SCIBA Concert Band Contest on March 27, 2010. The contest was held at Urbandale High School and included schools from Des Moines, West Des Moines, Earlham, and Urbandale. The highest rating is a "I+" and was received by 2 of 6 bands. The GPBS Junior High Band was joined by 6 of the 6th grade band members for this event. more band... Tryouts for the play, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, were held following high school finals on Friday, December 18th. The cast is now in full swing practicing nightly. Be sure to check the schedule in the hallway. Wednesday, December 2, was Leadership Day for the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference. Student Council members and NHS officers were involved in a full day of interactive group activities with other student leaders from across the conference. |
