Grandview Baseball - Catch it this Summer
State in ' 8
Grandview advances to the 2008 State Class 1-A Baseball Tournament. The District #12 Champions captured their sub-state match 6-0. With strong pitching and timely hitting in the second half of the game, the Defenders stormed into their first state bracket since the school began their baseball program four short years ago.
The team will take their 21-10 record and #6 seed into Principal Park to face North Sentral Kosssuth which is seeded #3 with a 33-6 record. The tough battle will be held Monday, July 21at 6:00.
The Defenders capped off their exciting district play with a 4-2 win in the district championship game against Martensdale-St. Mary's. The team then progressed to a sub-state match with Moulton-Udell, District #11 Champions.
