I was saved when I was in about 4th grade. The Lord helped me realize He died for me personally. One day I was doing a crossword puzzle in a Christian magazine. The clue said "Who Christ was crucified for." Then it only gave two little boxes to fill in. I'd been in Sunday school and a good Baptist Church my whole life, so my mom was shocked that I thought the answer was the name Barabas. But I couldn't fit that in those two little boxes. She told me to sit and think because she was sure I did really know. I sat and pondered and I'm sure the Lord brought the understanding that afternoon when I went back to my mom. I told her I was ashamed it took me so long to figure that out and that I had prayed for forgiveness that afternoon.

Lamentations 3:21-23
This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
