In October of 1974 an old friend of mine asked to come over as we had not seen each other in a couple of years. When he came he began to share from a book called The Late Great Planet Earth. This book was about end times and biblical prophecy, and interested me. My wife was not home that evening so he asked to come back the next night to talk more with her as well. When he came he brought his wife also. He then began to share the gospel; my wife and I were both convicted and asked the Lord to come into our lives.
It was a few years later when the Lord convicted me to go back to school to become a teacher. Since then I have been living a life blessed of the Lord doing what He has called me to do and loving every day of it.

Genesis 1:28
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
This has always been one of my favorite verses as it provides the biblical reason to study science. You can't have dominion over something you don't understand.
