GLORY = to acknowledge, value and show the beauty and power of God If you want to make sense of your life, you must start with God. Life is God, God is life. The book of Genesis tells us that God created everything out of nothing. Things did not evolve or progress into higher life forms. And the best part of God creating you is that He created you for a specific purpose... Read: Genesis 1-2 ...There IS a point! 2: GOD CREATED US FOR HIMSELF, TO BRING HIM GLORY. Many people live their lives wondering “ Why am I here? What's the point?” The Bible tells us that we are here *for* God—we were created to bring him glory / honor. God created us to reflect HIS glory… this means He wants us to love him with all we are, to thank Him for everything we have, trust Him for everything we need, and fully obey and follow everything He says. Read: Isaiah 43:6-7; Colossians 1:16-17; 1 Corinthians 10:31 3: BECAUSE OF OUR SIN WE HAVE FAILED TO BRING HIM GLORY. SIN is when we devalue our created purpose and go our own way, doing things against God We have all failed to fulfill our created purpose. All of us have failed to bring glory to God because we are sinners. We choose ourselves over God. In fact, the Bible says that if we offend God only one time, we are guilty of everything! The result is that we are fully and eternally separated from God. Read: Romans 1:20-21; Romans 3:10, 23; Isaiah 53:6; Isaiah 59:2; James 2:10 He is without any wrong and perfectly good 4: The Bad News is: SIN BRINGS A TERRIBLE PENALTY. You and I must pay for our sins. Because God is holy and just he must punish sinners. He cannot allow sin to go unpunished without ceasing to be perfect. Because we are sinners, we have subjected *ourselves* to eternal punishment in hell. He gives what is earned or deserved ; he is consistent and right God doesn't send sinners to hell-- we send ourselves to hell! And hell is real. It is a place of never-ending, torturous pain. To ignore it is to risk very much! Read: Romans 6:23; Luke 16:19-31; Revelation 20:15, 14:11; Matthew 25:41-46 5: It gets worse: WE ARE HELPLESS IN OUR SIN Many in the world will tell you that you have a part to play in salvation. But the truth is, we are completely *unable* to save ourselves from our sins. No amount of good intentions or good deeds will help—the door to heaven is shut to us. Read: Ephesians 2:1-10 Mercy = not receiving what I deserve 6: But there is Good News… GOD, IN HIS MERCY, PROVIDED A SUBSTITUTE FOR YOU Because our sin must be paid for, God sent his only son , Jesus Christ, to pay for it… HE was penalized. Jesus came to earth and *died* on a cross to save sinners and 3 days later rose from the dead. FAITH means coming to Jesus as you are to have all of your sins forgiven, all of your needs met, and all of your desires satisfied… believing He can and will. Read John 6:35 He paid the penalty for our sins so we wouldn't have to! A choice must be made. Either you turn to Jesus by faith or reject Him. The infinite accomplishments of Jesus' death on the cross will only be transferred to those who respond in faith. You must believe and trust that Jesus' death is fully sufficient to save you, forsake all else, and turn to Him *alone* to be saved. Read: Acts 3:19; Acts 16:31; John 1:12; Revelation 3:20* If you desire to accept this by faith… you are in essence saying to God, “YOU hold the keys to truth and knowledge. You hold the key to forgiveness and acceptance with God; You hold the key to hope and eternal life; You hold the key to a life of meaning and purpose; You hold the key to righteousness and peace. So I come to You. I take You for all that You are. I forsake all others and cleave to You alone as my Saviour and Lord. And I thank You and praise Your name; that You have loved me and offered me all that You are for my everlasting joy. Amen." PRAYER is simply talking to God PRAY to God right now. Tell him what you believe and desire. He will listen and respond. ...There IS a point!

2: GOD CREATED US FOR HIMSELF, TO BRING HIM GLORY.

7: TURN AWAY FROM YOUR SIN AND IN FAITH

FULLY TRUST JESUS THE SAVIOR
