At the present time, there is a full-time high school math position open for the 2008-2009 school year during the second semester. Grandview advanced to the 2008 State Class 1-A Baseball Tournament. The District #12 Champions captured their sub-state match 6-0. With strong pitching and timely hitting in the second half of the game, the Defenders stormed into their first state bracket since the school began their baseball program four short years ago.
The team took their 21-10 record and #6 seed into Principal Park to face North Sentral Kosssuth which was seeded #3 with a 33-6 record. The tough battle was held Monday, July 21at 6:00. Though the Defenders scored more runs than any other team versus Kossuth in the tournament, Kossuth capitalized in the second half of the contest to put the game away. Kossuth continued on to become 1-A State Champions.
The Defenders capped off their exciting district play with a 4-2 win in the district championship game against Martensdale-St. Mary's. The team then progressed to a sub-state match with Moulton-Udell, District #11 Champions.

Reminders...
Parking Lot
Parents and students: Please watch for younger children when driving through the parking lot. The parking lot speed is 15 mph!
Morning drop-off: Parents - please pull as far up in the line as you can before dropping off students. Many want to stop right in front of the door. If more will pull forward and drop off, more than one car can drop students off at a time. This will greatly help with the congestion in the morning rush hour.
If you are walking your student in, please park in the rows that are used for pick up. The parking spaces closest to the building and closest to the church doors are school and church staff parking. This will also avoid backing up in to the line of traffic to get out during the morning rush.
Thank you!

Our School...
Grandview seeks to help its students grow in many areas of personal development. As students progress through the school's educational program, they are expected to grow spiritually, academically, socially, and physically. The first step of this important process is salvation, which brings the student into a right relationship with God. The Holy Spirit is then available to guide the student through the growth process.
Grandview welcomes qualified students for instruction. A student is admitted to the school upon the completion of either a satisfactory record in their previous schoolwork and/or an acceptable score on a standardized test of educational development. The school does not discriminate on the basis of race in the administration of its admission, education, financial assistance, or extracurricular policies.
