Jr. High Retreat

Jr. High gathered in the chapel at Willowbrook Bible camp first. We sang two songs to start with. Then, the girls went to the cafeteria and the boys stayed in the chapel. A boy stucco Rep. talked to the boys and a girl stucco Rep. talked to the boys and a girl stucco Rep. talked to the girls. After that the girls headed back to the chapel. There we sang more songs then split up again. The girls finished before the boys and played red-rover. The boys finished and also played outside. During our time outside we played capture the flag. Stucco (all except Alex) and 7 th grade vs. 8 th grade and Alex. We played for about 30-45+ minutes. A little over from the 10 second countdown 8 th grade won. Next, we all went into the chapel and sang a few more songs then split up for the last of the 3 sections. After that we went back to the chapel and signed up for the relay-race. Then, we played outside until lunch for approximately 20 minutes. Then the relay-race was going to start. You looked at the chart of where you're supposed to go and the person that comes to tag your hand. Jr. High split into boys vs. girls. People had to drink prune juice, play “Mary had a little lamb” on the piano, 15 pushups, cartwheels form point A to B (about 3 cartwheels), bat spin, climb across on the rock wall without using the top, carry a person on another persons' back, two people carrying an egg on a spoon from C to D and back blind folded, shave a balloon, threw a football at the bell, catch two water balloons in a pitcher, shoot three free throws, and eat a worm. The girls defeated the boys by a long shot. Next we went to the chapel to hand out prizes and played musical chairs. At 2:45 we stacked the chairs and headed back to school. 4/27/09 -Brooke
