First Grade

I was twelve years old when my father died. When I was a sophomore in community college, my mother met a Christian widower. My mother, brother, and I began going to church with him. I asked Roy, who later become my step-dad, many questions about the Bible and Christ. Because of Roy's testimony and the hearing of God's Word, I saw my spiritual need and accepted the Lord as my Savior.

My life has held many challenges, but I praise the Lord for His sustaining grace. I am thankful for the Word, God's leading, and many undeserved blessings.
I love the hymns that speak of God's holiness, power, and mercy toward us. I truly "stand amazed."

Some of my favorite verses are found in Psalms, Hebrews, and Job.
