Activities for the 06-07 School Year:
We are planning to...
1. honor teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week by making them breakfast.
2. help with Elementary Track and Field Day
3. wrap Christmas gifts at Wellspring Christian Books.
4. help with the District Special Olympics in April.
5. staff an ice-cream shoppe at the spring open house.
6. help with the Smouse Opportunity School Track and Field Day in May.

We are...
1. selling school supplies two mornings each week.
2. working with Mrs. Van Hooser to mentor elementry students by volunteering 20-30 minutes each week. (Each NHS member is required to volunteer two hours per month doing some activity outside of his/her normal activities.)
3. honoring birthdays of the junior and senior high students with birthday cakes and a special song each month.
4. providing school tours for the class of 1982 reunion.
5. helping to sponsor the David Bush concert for November 16th.
6. provided cookies and coffee at the parent-teacher conferences in the fall and spring.

We remain alert to other areas of service.

Service with a Smile...

Teachers were greeted the first day of school with a note of encouragement from NHS members along with, of course, an apple. In May, teachers will be honored with a special French toast breakfast before heading off to their classrooms.

We induct new members each April.
