Growing up on a dairy farm near Grinnell, Iowa, I have been blessed with godly Christian parents who enabled me to attend a Bible-believing church and learn about Christ from a very early age. At the age of five, I realized that I was a sinner and asked Christ to be my personal Savior from sin after a Thursday night prayer meeting involving the topic of end time events. By continuing to attend Calvary Baptist Church, the influence of many godly people there helped me to realize that after salvation, I needed to have a growing, personal relationship with Christ and follow Him with every aspect of my life.

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
