Grandview's SYATP was held on Wednesday, September 23, 2010.

The temperature was cold that morning-it was actually quite frigid, but the morning quickly warmed up with prayer and praise.

We began praying at 7:20. The event is entirely student-led and was facilitated by Chris, Student Council Chaplain. Reggie also led us in some singing. We prayed until 7:50 - praying for our school, Des Moines, and our country.

Many people driving by gave us interesting looks. We can only imagine what they were thinking seeing a huge group of teens praying at 7:30 in the morning! Students huddled together as classes and groups...and then everyone concluded the event by praying on both sides of East 33rd.

We had about 45 students (JH and HS) in all.
